The "Mark Carr Scholarship Foundation" was established to benefit high school graduates pursuing a career in Homeland Security or Fire Sciences.

 

Born in London, England, Mark started his career as a firefighter in 1987 and worked his way up as Borough Commander within the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority. After which time he served as the New Britain Fire Chief from 2004 - 2012, when he pursued a career as an SES Officer in the Federal Government.

 

Mark A. Carr passed away at the age of 50 on August 20, 2014.
